Welcome to my little corner of the internet. This site proudly rocks a retro look from the early 2010s—back when real human people (like me) built websites one page at a time, usually late at night, and definitely without permission from an algorithm.
A lot of what we read online now is written by AI or bots. Sometimes it’s helpful. Sometimes it’s creepy. Sometimes it’s hard to tell which is which.
That’s not what’s happening here. The words you’re reading are mine. They may be cleaned up for grammar, but they are not generated by feeding ideas into an AI machine and calling it done. No bots, no prompts, no nonsense.
Fly fishing still matters. Somehow, wonderfully, it does. This website is and always will be under construction—much like the internet used to be. Just as fly-fishing gear keeps evolving and moving forward, so does this little site. It’ll never be finished, and that’s kind of the point.
We’re based in the High Desert of Southern California near Wrightwood, but our info definitely doesn’t stop there! This site covers shops, clubs, and guides from sunny San Diego all the way up through Los Angeles and beyond. We even wander into the Sierra region, including Bridgeport, CA — the fly fishing up there is so good we couldn’t leave it out.
